Take Your Dog to Work Day

Today is the International Take Your Dog To Work Day It's something that really hasn't taken off here in Ireland, and I know of only a few people that get to bring their four legged friends into the work place. (As for me,I'm lucky enough to be able to work from home, so I'm never that far away from my four beloved Dachshunds) Does that fact that we are not allowed to take our dogs with us to work say something about Ireland as a dog loving nation ? We all know the health benefits from owning a dog, but yet, in certain areas of society you are looked upon as a 2nd class citizen if you have a dog with you. As per my blog recently, Dogs Unleashed ,we are banned from beaches, not to mention public transport, cafes and restaurants, shops, and for the most of us, bringing your dog to the work place is a definite no no !
