World Animal Day
Today is World Animal Day - falling on the feast day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
The message that is being sent out is to use this special day to commemorate our love and respect for animals by doing something special to highlight the importance of animals in the world
Irelands Ambassador to World Animal Day is John Carmody founder of Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN) and they are holding a peaceful rally in Cork on the 29-10-11 as per the attached clip. They are asking everybody to share this information, calling on as many people as possible to attend, so that the event will be a huge success, and hopefully highlight the plight of a lot of animals in Ireland
