If you are enjoying the “Munster Circuit” or at home this week, a must is most certainly giving yourself some time to relax and read the latest publication of Irish Canine Press. This huge special “circuit” issue contains 112 pages jam packed with information of great interest to any Irish canine enthusiast.
This issue is really superb, many congrats to Joyce and Des the hard working editors.
The photographs from the shows and of owners and their dogs are amazing, congrats to the excellent photographic team. The adverts and layouts are stunning, most certainly anyone looking to become a dog owner would be advised to buy it so at their leisure can look at the photos and so giving them an idea of what kind of dog appeals to them before they make the big plunge.
Many pages are devoted to show reports, and the excellent photos from them with all the smiling and happy proud looking winning owners. There are breed writers giving reports on their respective breeds, what’s happening in their breeds whose winning etc. A good way to keep up with your breed even if you do not get to every show.
Everyone’s favourite Vet, Rachel Gordon takes her usual “Rachel’s Veterinary Corner” this issue giving an insight in Lungworm infection, which all dog owners should be aware of . Rachel gives important information to help identify the symptoms of Lungworm infection and some pointers to help owners understanding more about the infection and most importantly valuable tips to make sure your dog avoids this nasty infection.
Rachel also deals with Hip Dysplasia, so lots of good reading from Rachel, who can be contacted at [email protected]
Other regular writers, such as “Mog Ahern with his own quirky sense of humour on the Dog Show world, always a fun read . Rita McCarry-Beattie on her “Soap Box, and Marion Finney’s “Marion’s Moans both always well worth reading, both giving very current and even at time controversial views on the Irish Dog show world.

A lovely photo on page 4 of newly weds Kevin and Theresa Black, cutting a magnificent wedding cake, Kevin and Theresa are Rottweiler owners and proudly own Ch Benbrada Dark Vader. So after a well deserved honeymoon in the sun will be resuming showing Shea.
