Ok, so we mentioned on the Pedigree Dogs Facebook page yesterday that we had a couple of bits of GREAT news re Munster Agricultural Society “Cork Summer Show” IKC All breed Open Dog Show, being held on the 17-06-12

Here’s the first bit.

As well as Munster Agricultural Society putting up the fantastic prize fund (Below) at the show, we are also delighted to announce that Brenken have come on board as a sponsor, and will be offering the following by way of prizes.

Best in Show – Medium PVC Dog Kennel (White) or voucher to be redeemed @ Brenken for another size kennel – Value Euro 150.00

Now for the second bit….

On our blog on the 27-03-12 we mentioned that unfortunately, due to the BSD Club of Ireland, running their Championship show on the same day, we can only offer Any Variety Group 1 or Any Variety Group 2

Well, we now have confirmation from The Irish Kennel Club, that we CAN now schedule breed classes in both of these groups.

So what are you waiting for, head on over to Dog Show Entry and make your entry, we can be found under Cork Summer Pedigree Open Show.

Cork Summer Show – IKC All Breeds Open Show

On behalf of the Cork Summer Show, organised by The Munster Agricultural Society, just a quick line to thank firstly, all you exhibitors for entering the show, we hope you all enjoyed your day yesterday at the event which was held in glorious sunshine.

We would also like to thank our Judges for carrying out their appointed tasks in such a professional manner, and also to the stewards that kept the show running along so smoothly throughout the day.

A big thank you also to our generous food sponsor Arden Grange who sadly couldn’t attend in person on the day.

And finally a big congratulations to the winners hereunder who took away the main honours on the day..Hope to see you all again next year !

The Cork News – Pedigree Dogs featured

Today is the first day of the three day Cork Summer Show

It seems you can’t go anywhere in Cork and the surrounding areas without seeing some signage promoting and reminding people about this great event.

The pictures that were taken at the official launch on Tuesday 07-06-11 have popped up everywhere, I even got an email from our Vet John Collins who is based with Richard Healy at Westside Veterinary, last Thursday saying that our dogs looked great in yesterdays Irish Independent !!

The latest piece of press can be found in The Cork News latest edition Click Here where the show has been getting some great coverage, and Pedigree Dogs is featured, and if you click the forward arrow on the pictures you get to see my mush (Again) with our current show dogs.

We are delighted with the entry for the IKC All Breeds Open Dog Show that takes place at 1 PM on the final day, Sunday 19-06-11, and all we need now is a repeat of last years weather.

Cork Summer Show (Munster Agricultural Society)

Just a reminder that the online entry for the above show closes tomorrow Friday 10-06-11 at midnight with dogshowentry.ie

This picture was taken at the official launch of the show on Tuesday, and gives you an idea of what to expect at the 3 day show that kicks off on Friday the 17th June.

In relation to the IKC all breeds open show being held on Sunday 19th, as we have mentioned here before, there is a great prize fund on offer, (€200 Best in Show) and sponsorship from Arden Grange

That as well as nearly 200 trade stands, cooking demonstrations by Kevin Dundon, highland games and much much more, sure you would be mad to miss it.

Cork Summer Show – (Munster Agricultural Society) – All Breeds Open Show

This day week 10th June at midnight is the online closing deadline for the above show, that is being held on Sunday 19th June in Ballincollig Co.Cork

A generous prize fund has been allocated by the organisers which is spread throughout all groups and Arden Grange are sponsoring, with bags of product being awarded to the major winners.

The show is part of the 3 day Cork Summer Show, and aside from the dog show there are all kinds of things going on, including up to 200 trade stands.

Irish Kennel Club give green light to Munster Ag

Munster Agricultural Scociety are delighted to announce that they have received a licence from the Irish Kennel Club (IKC) to hold an All Breeds Open Dog Show to be held as part of the Cork Summer Show, on Sunday 19-06-11

This is on the last day of the 3 day show, that if last years event was anything to go by, is a great day out for all the family

Judges this year are as follows (Subject to IKC approval)

Joy Saville
All breeds within groups 1 & 2, plus these groups

Sean Knight
All breeds within groups 3 / 6 / 10, plus these groups
Junior Handling
Veteran Stakes
Champion Stakes

P.J.O’Donovan
All breeds within groups 4 / 5 / 9 plus these groups
