Pedigree Dogs Exposed – Part Deux

| blog | June 21, 2011

As per my blog on the 07-06-11 the BBC have commissioned Jemima Harrison to make a follow-up film to Pedigree Dogs Exposed, Click Here

There has been a mixed reaction to this announcement from a lot of dog showing folk in the UK and Ireland, indeed the Facebook group Stop The BBC Making Another PDE has over 3700 members, and is gathering momentum

The main reason people are opposed to the making of part II, is because they consider the original Pedigree Dogs Exposed to be a one sided distorted and biased production which did not fairly represent the world of  the pedigree dog, dog breeders or the Kennel Club

On the other hand a lot of people are saying that if there is nothing to hide in the world of Pedigree Dogs, why be so protective.

In response to a lot of people saying “why don’t you come up with some solutions rather than just constant criticism” Jemima Harrison has come up with her Ten steps to help save the pedigree dog

I particularly like # 4 and have mentioned this on numerous blogs in the past

One way or another, this programme is going to be made, and I am sure that there can be some sort of compromise from both sides, to make sure that when the finished article is aired early next year, everybody involved will be ready for any of the consequences…, and let’s hope that unlike most sequels, this is going to be far better than the original
