It’s with great sadness that I am writing this Blog.

Last night Ir Ch Doppelganger Joe Daly AKA Dempsey crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Dempsey didn’t have the best start in life, but just a little over 6 months later he won Best Pup In Show at Tralee & District Canine Club open show held in Castleisland. This was Dempsey’s and my first ever dog show either as an exhibitor or spectator.

He followed this up with Best Pup in Show at South Tipperary Canine Club’s open show….

Temperament comes from a mix of socialisation and genetics, and it was I’m sure the later that gave Dempsey a temperament second to none. Dog and people friendly he was a joy to have lived with.

He was made up Irish Champion half under the old system, and then finished off with 3 green stars under the new one. His first Green Star on his way to his title came at Hibernian as did his last.

He was true to the Dachshund personality, Courageous, Cheerful, Affectionate and Proud.

We thank him for the un ending love, loyalty, happiness and friendship that he gave to us during his life

Dear Paul & Josephine

An Irish Champion has left us to cross the Rainbow Bridge! Dempsey was a pround Dachshund! He was the true example of a fantastic dog with fantastic owners: he had always a lovely and friendly behaviour!
We shall miss him.

  Thanks So much Paula, we just got your email. We were looking at this picture in the cottage this AM..and it sums up our dogs, and the freindship that has developed between, Lisbon & Cork

  Thanks Linda, very tough time for Josephine & I. We buried him at the back of Bridies this AM…He was always at his happiest in West Cork… WYB he was born not far from the Beehive Bar on the way to Leap.
