Breed Village – Pet Expo 2011
As you know there has been a lot of negative comments towards certain classified web sites in Ireland and the lack of policing and standards when it comes to the animal, and especially dog section
The majority of Show Dog people will not use these websites, and the Breeders / Kennels that do, state that you have to have a presence on these sites to inform Joe Public as to what a well bred dog looks like and where they come from.
Pet Expo returns this year to the RDS on the 08th and 09th of October, and in it’s fifth year, wants to make the Breed Village for dogs one of the highlights of the show
After attending the last 2 shows in different capacities, I have seen the potential to reach out to a captive audience, and impart some information as to what a prospective dog owner should be looking out for.
We all scratch our heads when we hear of people getting duped into buying a poorly bred dog from an unscrupulous breeder, so now is our chance to put ourselves well and truly in the spotlight.
Pet Expo are in negotiations with a media company that is interested in covering the event for TV, and each Breed / Club that attends will be acknowledged on the Pet Expo Website and in the event guide which again attracts an enormous amount of visitors on the run up to and after the event.
It’s a perfect opportunity to promote responsible dog ownership / breeding, and best of all it’s FREE !!!!!
I will be working very closely with the event organisers to ensure that the Breed Village will be a great success this year, and will be making contact with the Breed Clubs / Show Kennels asking for their support in achieving this aim.

We have each been Showing dogs for more than 40 years.
We are respected Worldwide for our Poodles and Siberian Huskies.
We very rarely breed more than 1 litter each year, because we only breed
when we want something for ourselves. Quite often we have kept all of a litter, had them speyed or neutered and found them good homes, as we believe that nobody should make a profit out of good dog breeding. In England we Owned our own Quarantine and Boarding Kennels, Quarantine and Boarding Cattery, Grooming Parlours etc.
